ATHLETES READINESS FOR SELF-PRESERVATION ACTIVITIES

Objective: To create optimal conditions for the development of athletes individually self-preservation activities with a program of personal adjustments and corrections of athletes behavior.
Materials and Methods: Educational program for 98 athletes (team sports, athletics) from 20 to 40 years were implemented in 2012–2013. Psycho-pedagogical diagnostics of self-preservation was performed, the level of subjective control was evaluated by the test of the level of subjective control (LSC) based on Rotter’s scale and athlete’s willingness to self-preservation activities.
Results: The vital activity model of athletes with high sports qualification was considered. Received results supplement with the M. Rokich's tests and the LSC statistics.
Conclusions: Identification of the dynamics of the hierarchy of respondents’ goals and means is favorable for self-preservation activities as an athlete creates a harmonious consistent disposition which directs the activity in various spheres of life, including self-preservation activities in health.
