PIEZOELECTRIC DISTANCE SHOCK WAVE THERAPY OF DISEASES OF THE MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM IN THE PRACTICE OF THE BASKETBALL CLUB

To shorten the duration of treatment of degenerative processes in the field of attachment of tendons and capsular ligamentous structures of the bones, prevent disability in patients who introduced new methods of therapeutic effects to optimize the metabolic processes in the tissues of the musculoskeletal system. Recently, for this purpose was used remote shock wave therapy (DUVT). In the medical-rehabilitation center basketball club «Khimki» for DUVT used vehicle «Pezoson 100» company RICHARD WOLF GMBH with the piezoelectric method of generating a shock wave – a portable installation designed to work in an outpatient setting. The energy flow is regulated by the power levels 20, pressure range in focus from 9 to 123 MPa, the energy flux density of from 0.052 to 1.5 mJ/mm2. Focus size 3 mm penetration depth adjustable from 0 to 40 mm, by changing the gel baits pulse frequency of 1 to 4 Hz. The treatment consisted of 3–5 DUVT procedures as often as every 3 days. A single procedure lasted 15 to 20 minutes. We have shown that the reduction of time intervals between sessions DUVT 3-5 days did not affect the patient's condition and can achieve sustained positive results in the majority of cases the patients, long and unsuccessfully treated with traditional conservative methods of treatment, and do it in a shorter time, which is especially important in our curated group of professional athletes, as does not lead to a loss of fitness.
