Laser technologies in medicine are highly promising field in both treatment and surgery. There is a significant difference in laser use in medicine, depending on laser structure, way of laser beam formation. Laser technologies are well known in ophthalmology and dermatology, as well as in angiology (endovenous laser treatment, laser assisted balloon angioplasty) and are still in the experimental phase in abdominal surgery. In this article we will try to summarize and classify current data of properties and ways of laser radiation formation, laser appliance in surgery and explain its implement necessity in every day hospital work.
